Erin and Zachery celebrated their wedding day with an idyllic springtime garden party at Bragg-Mitchell Mansion. The couple was introduced in the summer of 2018 by the bride’s younger brother and cousin. The relationship quickly grew into a partnership, and the groom proposed two days before Christmas in 2024 during a family trip to New York City.
A passing rain shower gave way to beautiful sunny skies on the morning of the wedding. The bride donned an ivory satin Allure ballgown featuring pearl and crystal beading and a bow at the waist. A freshwater pearl necklace passed down from her grandmother completed the look. Family was at the heart of the festivities. The couple chose to have their families precede them down the aisle and the ceremony was officiated by the groom’s cousin. The bride and groom exchanged vows in the back garden of the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion beneath a centuries-old live oak tree decorated with fairy lights and adorned with lush floral arrangements in shades of pink, purple and green, the bride’s favorite colors.
After the ceremony, all celebrated under the oaks and throughout the historic house at the reception. The bride changed into her second look — a lace Amsale gown — before joining her guests on the dance floor. Lights illuminated the trees, creating the feel of a glowing canopy overhead as guests and the newlyweds enjoyed a menu featuring local favorites. Dessert included a caramel cake with cookie butter icing for the bride, decorated with cascading pink and purple florals, and a classic carrot cake with cream cheese icing for the groom, featuring golf-inspired decor. The evening concluded with a champagne tower, providing a memorable finale to a day filled with love, family and unforgettable moments.
