Reception at the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion
Hali and Brett’s wedding day was a picturesque and classic Bay-area celebration. The couple met through a mutual friend and eagerly anticipated celebrating their marriage with their friends and family. The color of their wedding — blue — was chosen long before the day arrived, inspired by the bride’s dress that she wore while serving on the Dogwood Trail Court. The bridesmaids wore pale blue pajamas as the bridal party got ready before the ceremony. The bride wore a modified A-line gown with a short-sleeved lace bolero for a look inspired by Pippa Middleton before heading to the church.
Hymns, vows and a joy-filled ceremony at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church started the wedding events on a heartwarming note. After the close of the ceremony, all went to the Bragg-Mitchell Mansion. A brief springtime rain shower during the cocktail hour was taken as a token of good luck before the clouds parted for a beautifully sunny reception. The energy was high throughout the night, and guests sipped signature cocktails out of cups bearing the couple’s monogram. All donned personalized embroidered hats and waved Auburn shakers, an ode to the couple’s alma mater, as the dance floor remained full late into the night. The celebration ended with the couple’s exit to their pale blue getaway car.
