Joy filled every facet of Helen and Alec’s wedding day. While most brides feel love and happiness on their special day, the bride received news a few weeks prior that only elevated this feeling: medical scans clear of stage IV metastatic melanoma, which she had been diagnosed with a little over a year before. Following the St. Joseph Chapel ceremony, a gospel choir sang “Oh Happy Day” for the newlyweds’ exit. At the Ezell House reception, guests left voicemails in an audio guestbook, a memento for the couple for years to come. After a lively reception, which included dancing by guests and crowd surfing by the bride, the couple rode around town with the wedding party on a party bike, the perfect ending to the day and the beginning of the Baileys’ happily ever after.
