Ovation: Concert of Legends celebrates many of the world’s musical legends with a one-night-only performance November 8th at the Civic Center Theater. Honoring greats such as George Gershwin, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong and more – Ovation promises a mix of kinetic energy, exhilarating music and a dynamic fresh production unique to the Mobile stage. More than 30 dancers will join internationally renowned Ballet Master Israel Rodriguez and Guest Artists Eduardo Pi Iglesias, Raley Zampieri and Paul Branco. Artistic Director Katia Garza brings fresh choreography to timeless music sure to offer a travel in time… and emotions.
Make it a full night out with dinner before the show at Dauphin’s! Mobile’s home to one of the 100 Best Dining Views in America offers a special early dinner menu for ballet patrons from 4-6pm.
December brings the lavish holiday tradition of The Nutcracker. To the celebrated score from Tchaikovsky, Mobile’s Corps de Ballet will feature world renowned Guest Artists including Eduardo Pi Iglesias along with Ballet Master Israel Rodriguez.
Spring brings Mobile Ballet’s final performance March 23rd – 24th: The Little Mermaid. Hans Christian Anderson’s magical tale is re-imagined into a dazzling ballet with original choreography from Katia Garza and powerful score by Antonin Dvorak.
