CONECUH SAUSAGE DOUGHNUT AT SUGAR RUSH DOUGHNUT COMPANY
“Whether you go for one of their many doughnuts or a cinnamon roll, you will never be disappointed at Sugar Rush Donut Company. I’m a Southern girl that loves plenty of spice and a little Cajun flavor, and the Conecuh sausage doughnut calls my name every visit. It is just what it sounds like — a Conecuh sausage sitting sandwich-style between two halves of a doughnut. Many look at a stop at Sugar Rush as a treat, but for me, it makes for a very satisfying breakfast.” – Allison Streeter, Principal, Council Traditional School, Mobile County School System

THE FILET AT THE WASH HOUSE
“One of my favorite places in Fairhope is The Wash House. It’s uncanny how consistently delicious the food is. The one dish I can never turn down is the filet, walking-style. ‘Walking’ refers to added soft shell crab to top the filet. The filet is always a great cut, with more-than-generous portions and the right blend of spice and natural flavors. Finishing it off with soft shell crab is what puts this over the top, creating a unique twist on the ordinary that you don’t want to miss.” – Thomas Pilcher, Partner, Pilcher & Grissom, LLC

EGGS CATHEDRAL AT SPOT OF TEA
“For a unique restaurant with charm, go to Spot of Tea near Cathedral Square. There’s nothing on the menu to avoid. For 23 years, I’ve often ordered Eggs Cathedral. With scrambled eggs and crab cake on an English muffin topped with a seafood sauce of grouper, crawfish and shrimp and served with crispy hash browns, it’s rich and delicious. And always order their strawberry tea. It’s highly probable you’ll want a second glass.” – Norman McCrummen, Full-time grandfather / Chairman of the board, NEST of Mobile

FIRECRACKER SHRIMP TACOS AND BABY GREEN SALAD AT DRAGONFLY FOOD BAR
“The best lunch in Fairhope is the Firecracker Shrimp Tacos, along with the baby greens salad, at Dragonfly Food Bar. The shrimp is lightly breaded and stuffed in a soft taco shell, but it’s the homemade spicy aioli sauce that makes it extra tasty. The baby green salad is mixed greens, including arugula, tossed in a wonderful homemade light dressing and topped with pecans and a chopped scrambled egg.” – Barry Trice, Attorney
