October 29, 2022 // Ceremony and Reception at Bragg-Mitchell Mansion
While Elena and Spencer planned their October wedding, they also had the task of introducing Mobile to their many out-of-town guests from across the country and world. Neither the bride nor the groom is originally from Mobile, and wanted to show off the city where they got engaged and plan to make their home. Bragg-Mitchell Mansion served as the perfect showcase of Mobile’s oak trees and history, and a worthy backdrop to the couple’s private vows and lush autumn ceremony. After the ceremony, rain began, soon giving way to tornadoes — but the celebration continued as guests retreated inside for speeches and dancing punctuated by tornado sirens. The bride says that the rain blanketing Mobile made the interior feel intimate and ethereal as she celebrated amongst family and friends, all of whom, despite the chaos, were decidedly charmed by Mobile.
