December 10, 2022 // Christ Church Cathedral, Reception at the home of the groom’s parents
Monique and Richard exchanged vows in a lush ceremony at Christ Church Cathedral, the couple’s longtime parish. The bride wore several family heirlooms of the groom’s family, including her veil, wedding band and engagement ring. The newlyweds left the church in an iconic getaway car, the same vintage Packard that once took Humphrey Bogart to the 1940 Academy Awards. The groom’s parents’ house in Ashland Place played host to the street-party reception. The couple had their first dance in the middle of the street, after which guests feasted on Georgia Roussos’ truffle fries and, later in the evening, Dew Drop hot dogs, per the groom’s only reception request. The rest of the night was spent dancing under the lit oak trees, celebrating the newlyweds.
