12 p.m. Experience Marquis de Lafayette’s grand return to Mobile with a reenactment honoring his tour of America. Admission is free.

April 9: Tablescapes: The Art of Presentation

Eastern Shore Art Center • 401 Oak Avenue, Fairhope

10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Dining meets design at this stunning collection of artistic tablescapes that inspire, enchant and elevate the everyday. Tickets: $20.

April 12: Fairhope Spring Homes Tour

Fruit and Nut District • Fairhope

10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Explore six stunning homes in Fairhope’s Fruit and Nut District at this inaugural event hosted by the Eastern Shore Art Center. Tickets are $50.

April 12: Mobile Chocolate Festival

The Grounds • 1035 Cody Road N

10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sample all the chocolate you could want, and do it for a good cause. Enjoy sweet treats from local vendors, live music, food trucks, kids’ activities, a chocolate martini tasting, car show and more. Admission ranges from $5 – $10, and proceeds benefit Penelope House.

April 12 – 13: Baldwin County Strawberry Festival

Loxley Municipal Park

9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Have a berry good time at this sweet festival with fun, entertainment and all the strawberry shortcake you can eat. Admission is free.

April 17 – June 15: Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival

Bellingrath Gardens & Homeʉۢ 12401 Bellingrath Gardens Road, Theodore

5 p.m. – 10 p.m., Thur – Sun. Wander through a luminous dreamscape with glowing animals, plants and mythical creatures at this breathtaking display of color and light. Tickets start at $28.

April 19 – 20: Kites Over Mobile

USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park • 2703 Battleship Pkwy

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sat., Noon – 5 p.m. Sun. Enjoy professional kite demos, live music, face painting, food trucks, Easter egg hunts and more at this family-friendly event. Parking: $5 per car.

April 25 – 27: Interstate Mullet Toss & Greatest Beach Party

Flora-Bama Lounge & Package • 17401 Perdido Key Dr, Pensacola.

A little friendly competition, a lot of flying fish and nonstop beachside fun — don’t miss this one-of-a-kind Gulf Coast tradition! Cost is $20 to toss a mullet.
