SHRIMP LO MEIN AT THREE FLAVORS
“I truly love this simple dish and would not mind ordering it at each visit to this family-run restaurant in Regency Square. The egg noodles are pan fried to perfection, and served with a mix of cabbage, broccoli and carrots covered in a light glaze. The dish is topped with too many seared butterflied Gulf shrimp to count — just the way I like it. The food is fabulous and the impeccable service only elevates the experience. The many authentic dishes available on the menu will delight Thai and Japanese cuisine enthusiasts, and casual restaurant-goers alike.”

BBQ SHRIMP AT SOUTHWOOD KITCHEN
“Southwood Kitchen, located in Daphne, has one of the best menus in Baldwin County. It’s hard to go wrong with anything they serve, but my go-to is their BBQ shrimp appetizer. It’s a New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp served with bread perfect for dipping in the best part of the dish — the sauce. The shrimp are well-cooked, and the sauce has the right amount of spice and flavor. The best part is they’ll let you pick the dish up to-go if you’re in a hurry and can’t dine in.”

APPLE PIE AT THE NOBLE SOUTH
“Today, one can have the best of Southern fare taken to a very sophisticated level at The Noble South. Unique dishes on a rotating seasonal menu are prepared by haute cuisine artists. The desserts are not to be skipped, particularly the caramel apple pie. With dulce de leche and spiced crème fraîche, it is a Southern apple pie as you’ve never had it before and the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Don’t put off going.” —  Norman mcCrummen, Full-time grandfather/ Chairman of the board, NEST of Mobile

CHICKEN SHAWARMA OVER HUMMUS AT SAGE LEBANESE CUISINE & CAFE
“This dish is truly outstanding. Slow-cooked for 48 hours and served over either rice or hummus, the chicken is perfectly tender and wonderfully spicy. Although I normally prefer rice to hummus, Sage’s homemade hummus is no ordinary dip. I have no idea what makes their hummus so good, but you need to try it. Even if you don’t like hummus, you will be a fan. Another tip: this is a very filling lunch or dinner, so go hungry.” —  Barry Trice, Attorney
