“Southwood Kitchen, located in Daphne, has one of the best menus in Baldwin County. It’s hard to go wrong with anything they serve, but my go-to is their BBQ shrimp appetizer. It’s a New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp served with bread perfect for dipping in the best part of the dish — the sauce. The shrimp are well-cooked, and the sauce has the right amount of spice and flavor. The best part is they’ll let you pick the dish up to-go if you’re in a hurry and can’t dine in.”

“This dish is truly outstanding. Slow-cooked for 48 hours and served over either rice or hummus, the chicken is perfectly tender and wonderfully spicy. Although I normally prefer rice to hummus, Sage’s homemade hummus is no ordinary dip. I have no idea what makes their hummus so good, but you need to try it.
